Making a promising bid to regain lost laurels, Bombay’s Wilson Jones gave a fine all-round display at the Great Eastern Hotel on Monday night when he defeated S.N. Banerjee, the qualifying round runner – up by 2,336 points to 1,196 in four hours. He now meets Mujahid of Ceylon in the quarter – final of the National Billiards Championship.
Jone’s stroking was much more fluent than that seen last year and his approach much more resolute, so that everything points to a brilliant return to form.
