Walter Ramage (Scotland) scored his second victory in the World Amateur Billiards Championship at the Great Eastern hotel on Sunday night , defeating Burma’s A. Yunoos by 1,599 points to 834 .
Ramage has so far played four matches and has only to play Hirjee in order to complete his engagements . Yunoos too has one more match which he plays today against Driffield .
The match had little interest from the championship point of view but it brightened up considerably in the second session during which both players enhanced their rate of scoring .
Play was rather dull in the early part of the first session . Ramage having made 15 blank visits out of 49 , while Yunoos made 17 . At the half-way stage Ramage scored 672 points to 441 of Yunoos .
Breaks of 50 and over were :
Ramage : 60 , 53 , 51 , 75 , 85 , 71 , 211 .
Yunoos : 55 , 56 .
